The Trinity in the Old Testament The word “Trinity” is not explicitly stated in the Old Testament. Nevertheless, the concept is located in pluralisms and the shifting of persons in the text. John 1 is an example on how we see how the phrasing is used in the Old Testament. See below for support. Matthew 24/Zechariah 14 Parallel 24  Jesus left the temple and was going away, when his disciples came to point out to him the buildings of the temple.  2  But he answered them, “You see all these, do you not?
