The Mystery of Christ & Lawlessness The Phrase “The Mystery of God” pertains to the fulfillment of the New Covenant events in 70 AD-the two becoming one. We see this is the case when National Israel is laid waste by the Roman armies, which results into Spiritual Israel moving forth into the world. If you find the “the Mystery of God” phrase all over the New Testament, it has to apply to the 1 st Century events. It wouldn’t make sense in modern 21st. Ezekiel 40 and Revelation 21 Parallel Chart It is popular to teach that Ezekiel 40-48/Isaiah 60 occurs during the 1,000 year Earthly Millennial Kingdom and Revelation 21 is the New Heavens/New Earth respectively. However, when you develop a parallel chart between both passages, this is NOT the case. We see that Ezekiel 40/Isaiah 60 and Revelation 21 is talking about the SAME thing : A figurative description of the Beautiful Jewels/adornment of Christ's Church, not a literal structure. Therefore, the Premil reader is struck with massive confusion and dissonance.
