Ascension of the Saints 70AD Theory
***Hebrews 9:8 English Standard
Version 8 By this the Holy Spirit indicates that the way into the holy places is not yet opened
as long as the first
section is still standing
NOTE: This has to be about
Heaven. What else can it be? The physical 2nd Temple had to be
destroyed in order for the dead saints to enter Heaven.
***Ezekiel 40:5 English Standard
Version 5 And behold, there
was a wall all around the outside of the temple area, and the length
of the measuring reed in the man's hand was six long cubits, each being a cubit
and a handbreadth in length. So he measured the thickness of the wall, one
reed; and the height, one reed.
NOTE: This wall was removed
for the dead saints in 70AD to enter Heaven. See Hebrews 9:8.
***Revelation 11:19 English Standard
Version 19 Then God's
temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant was seen
within his temple. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of
thunder, an earthquake, and heavy hail.
NOTE: This wall from the
Spiritual Temple of Heaven was removed. This allowed the dead saints to enter
Heaven with their glorified bodies. Also, it started the process to turn Earth
into Heaven for the Elect in a gradual manner (Revelation 21:22-27).

Version 13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the
Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their
labors, for their deeds follow them!”(Compare
1 Corinthians 15:58-same language)
NOTE: There was something
special about martyrs dying during the New Covenant in 70 AD and onward. When
they died, they went straight to Heaven with their glorified body.
***Revelation 15:8 English Standard
Version 8 and the sanctuary was filled with smoke from the glory of God and
from his power, and no
one could enter the sanctuary until the seven plagues of the seven angels were
finished.
NOTE: Heaven was not
accessible until the physical 2nd Temple was destroyed (Hebrews
9:8).
***Daniel
12:13 English Standard Version 13 But go your way till the end. And you shall
rest and shall stand in
your allotted place at the end of the days.”
NOTE: God said Daniel was going to rise in 70 AD. Not at the
crucifixion. Allotted place can be translated “inheritance” at the end of the
days (Old Covenant Age). This is true. Daniel received the same awards as the
dead martyrs listed in Revelation 11:11 and 20:4. We still await a physical
resurrection for the Wicked at the End of History when Christ returns to Earth.
***Matthew 27:51-53 English Standard
Version 51 And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to
bottom. And the earth shook, and the rocks were split. 52 The tombs also were
opened. And many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised, 53 and
coming out of the tombs after his resurrection they went into the holy city and
appeared to many.
NOTE: There is no
mention of Daniel, King David, John the Baptist, Samuel, Noah, Ezekiel and the
patriarchs for this physical Resurrection (see Daniel 12:13). Therefore, they
are still in Sheol. They didn’t ascend before Christ. Christ is the only person
to ascend to Heaven (John 3:13). Also, there is no support for them ascending
with Christ or after Christ (Acts 1:6-11).

34 For David did not
ascend into the heavens, but he himself says, “‘The Lord said to my
Lord, “Sit at my right hand,
NOTE: David was still buried after Christ's ascension. He was not in Heaven.
***Hebrews 8:13 English Standard
Version 13 In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and
growing old is ready to vanish away
NOTE: It is believed that
when Christ died, the Old Covenant was gone instantaneously and now we are in
the New Covenant. Yes and no. The Cross is not an event, but a process. At the
cross, the elect were legally cleared through Christ in status, but remained in
Paradise until the physical 2nd Temple was destroyed in 70 AD
(Hebrews 9:8).
***Acts 7:60 English Standard Version
60 And falling to his knees he cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not hold
this sin against them.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
NOTE: Why did Stephen went
to asleep and not straight to Heaven? Hebrews 9:8 says that the physical 2nd
Temple needs to be destroyed before it is accessible. Stephen went to
Sheol/paradise, not Heaven. Christ’s standing was not to welcome Stephen into
Heaven. It doesn’t say that. For Christ to stand after his work on the cross,
indicates judgment on Apostate Israel. See Isaiah 3:13, Psalm 74:22, Joel 3:12.
***Revelation 6:11 English Standard
Version 11 Then they were each given a white robe and told to rest a little longer,
until the number of their fellow servants and their brothers should be
complete, who were to be killed as they themselves had been.
NOTE: Rest and sleep were
associated with pre-resurrection conditions. This mean they were still in
Sheol/Grave/ Paradise. It’s been argued that the events of Revelation 6:11
takes place in Heaven simply because the word “soul” is used in the passage. If
this was true, you would have to be consistent and say the events from Seals
1-4 and 6 take place in Heaven. We know that this is now true.
In addition, the Greek word
for soul is Psyche. It is also used in Acts 2:41, 7:14, 27:37, and 1 Peter 3:20
in a non-death context. Soul can refer to living person. It doesn’t mean
post-mortem. This event is an earthly situation being projected into Heaven.
The saints are crying from Jerusalem. They are given a white robe in Sheol and
told to wait till 70AD (see Daniel 11:34-35). White robes were given
spiritually and then obtained completely once a believer was dead. See also Revelation
3:4-5, 18, and 1 Samuel 28:14-15 for support.
Critics claim that this falling
asleep is associated with soul sleep. This is false because of the Parable of
Lazarus and the Richman. Both Lazarus and the Richman were both cognizant of
their situations. It says that the Richman was in anguish. They were awake in the spiritual realm, but asleep in the
living realm. Also, in the Transfiguration event, Moses and Elijah were
actively talking. There were residents of Sheol just brought up to the living
realm temporarily similar to Samuel in the Witch of Endor situation. Otherwise, it would
contradict John 3:13.

Standard Version 13 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep,
that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. 14 For since we believe
that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him
those who have fallen
asleep. 15 For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that
we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep.
16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with
the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise
first. 17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up
together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will
always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words. (Compare with Exodus 19 and 24, Hebrews 12:22, Colossians
1:13-14, Ephesians 2:6-7, Galatians 4:21-31, Revelation 14:1-5, Revelation
11:11-12, and Ezekiel 37:1-27. This is the Church coming up to the Spiritual
Mount Zion for the New Covenant. This points back to Israel coming up to
Literal Mount Sinai for the Old Covenant.- It borrows language and imagery of
Mount Sinai in order to help the reader see the connection. This is NOT the
Rapture!!!!

Standard Version 50 I
tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor
does the perishable inherit the imperishable (Compare
to Revelation 21:27, Isaiah 52:1, Ezekiel 44:9, Zechariah 14:21). 51
Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be
changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For
the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall
be changed. 53 For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this
mortal body must put on immortality. 54 When the perishable puts on the
imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the
saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” 55 “O death, where
is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” 56 The sting of death is sin,
and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the
victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be
steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in
the Lord your labor is not in vain (Compare Revelation
14:13).
NOTE: The dead saints get “spiritually raptured” from Paradise to Heaven with their glorified bodies and the living saints get their glorified bodies when they die. The first resurrection is of the Righteous only. The second resurrection (Wicked only) after Christ’s millennial reign is AT THE END OF HISTORY!!!! This physical resurrection is for the Wicked only. It doesn’t make sense for another physical resurrection of the Righteous since they automatically go to Heaven (starting in 70AD) with their glorified bodies already. We await the Final Judgment of the Wicked when Christ comes back. For a living person to get their glorified body now, doesn't mean sinless perfection. It just means you bear fruits of life and not death (See Malachi 3:3-4).
***Bonus Facts: When Christ
ascended up to Heaven, no one else came to Heaven until 70 AD. Notice that the
Great Multitude only appear before
the 6th and 7th
seals and trumpets (Revelation 6:12-8:1,
11:11-12); the counterargument would be the 24 elders.
In the KJV and NKJV, it has the angels and
cherubim singing about God’s salvation for them (Revelation 5:10). We know
angels do not share in God’s salvation. Salvation is only for mankind. This
error was picked up and later corrected in the other translations. With the
correction, we see that the 24 elders are angels because they were serving as
the Heavenly Priesthood. Remember they are a Heavenly mirror of the Earthly
reality at that time. They cast their crowns (to surrender their positions) to
Christ because there is a new Priesthood (Christianity)-A New Covenant is in
effect.
God commanded Moses to
build the Ark/Temple after the Jerusalem Model in Heaven. The Ezekiel Temple is
where we get our Old Covenant practices from. The 24 elders of Heaven shows us
why we had a 24 priest elder system in the Old Covenant. It wasn't a randomly
picked out number.
In 1 Chronicles 24 then in
28:11-13, talks about how the priests are divided. Lastly, in 1 Chronicles
28:19- All this he made clear to me in writing from the hand of the Lord, all
the work to be done according to the plan (pattern). See also Exodus
25:9,25:40, 26:30,27:8, Acts 7:44, Hebrews 8:5, Numbers 8:4, Ezekiel
43:10-11,44:5, and Colossians 2:17. Crowns are symbolic for authority and high
status. The casting of crowns is a picture of surrendering their position. We
do not get literal crowns with various names. Christ is the only one that is
worthy to wear one. Not us. In the New Covenant, we are the priests receiving
the gifts/rewards that are outlined in Revelation. There is no point for a 24
priest system. That's old covenant talk.
