Context: God judges Egypt by using Babylon.

Isaiah 13:6 English Standard Version 6 Wail, for the day of the Lord is NEAR; as destruction from the Almighty it will come!

Ezekiel 12:25-28 English Standard Version 25 For I am the Lord; I will speak the word that I will speak, and it will be performed. IT WILL NO LONGER BE DELAYED, but in your days, O rebellious house, I will speak the word and perform it, declares the Lord God.” 26 And the word of the Lord came to me: 27 “Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, ‘The vision that he sees is for many days from now, and he prophesies of times far off.’ 28 Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord God: None of my words will be DELAYED ANY LONGER, but the word that I speak will be performed, declares the Lord God.

Hebrews 10:36-38 English Standard Version 36 For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised. 37 For, “YET A LITTLE WHILE, AND THE COMING ONE WILL COME AND WILL NOT DELAY; 38 but my righteous one shall live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.

Habakkuk 2:3-4 English Standard Version 3 For still the vision awaits its appointed time; IT HASTENS TO THE END—IT WILL NOT LIE. If it seems slow, wait for it; IT WILL SURELY COME; IT WILL NOT DELAY. 4 “Behold, his soul is puffed up; it is not upright within him, but the righteous shall live by his faith.

Context: Babylon coming to bring judgment on Judah and Jerusalem.

Revelation 10:6 English Standard Version 6 and swore by him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and what is in it, the earth and what is in it, and the sea and what is in it, that THERE WOULD BE NO MORE DELAY

NOTE: If we are going to acknowledge that God brought judgment on Judah, Jerusalem, Egypt, and Moab WITHIN THEIR LIFETIMES as the word “soon” indicates. All those parties seen their respective judgment accounts. Why are we inconsistent when we apply the word “soon” in Revelation? If God is the same, why would he suddenly redefine “soon” to be 2,000 years plus? God is not the author of confusion. We are.

Hebrews 13:8 English Standard Version 8 Jesus Christ is the SAME yesterday and today and forever.
