Deuteronomy 6:4 English Standard Version 4 “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, THE LORD IS ONE.

 

NOTE: See also Mark 12:28-34. The Hebrew word is Echad. Echad can be used for absolute oneness and a collective one. Only the noun is modified, not the actual number one. Also, God is always described in singular pronouns and verbs, never in plural. It says ONE, not ONE IN THREE PERSONS. Echad is used in absolute oneness in Exodus 9:7, 2 Samuel 13:30, 2 Samuel 17:12, and Ecclesiastes 4:8. Plurality is due to the majestic nature of God.

 

 

Deuteronomy 18:15,18 English Standard Version  15 “The Lord your God will RAISE UP FOR YOU A PROPHET LIKE ME FROM AMONG YOU, FROM YOUR BROTHERS—it is to him you shall listen…18 I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. NOTE: This does not support a pre-existence of Jesus. Moses says that Jesus is a prophet just like him-AMONG BROTHERS. God gave Jesus HIS WORDS. NOT OUR WORDS-referring to a Trinity. NOT JESUS' OWN WORDS. THE FATHER'S WORDS.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Matthew 3:17 English Standard Version 17 and behold, a voice from heaven said, “THIS IS MY BELOVED SON, with whom I am well pleased.”

NOTE: A Son and Father cannot be the same. See also 2 Peter 1:17 and Genesis 5:3.

NOTE: God cannot be tempted by Satan/Devil. Only a human can be tempted.

NOTE: He says "Spirit Of God" and  "Kingdom of God." NOT "by my/our Spirit" that I cast out demons. Also, he DID NOT SAY "my/our kingdom has come upon you."

 

 

Matthew 19:4 English Standard Version 4 He answered, “Have you not read that HE WHO CREATED THEM from the beginning made them male and female

 

NOTE: Jesus claimed the Father was the creator, not him. Also, notice the singular pronouns for God. He created them (Adam and Eve), NOT WE CREATED THEM.

 

 

Matthew 19:17 English Standard Version 17 And he said to him, “Why do you ask me about what is good? THERE IS ONLY ONE WHO IS GOOD. If you would enter life, keep the commandments.”

 

NOTE: This excludes Jesus. He is not saying "It is really me that is good. I'm God." Wink, wink. Jesus is not some kind of trickster as some may treat him as such.

 

 

 

Matthew 20:23 English Standard Version 23 He said to them, “You will drink my cup, but to sit at my right hand and at my left IS NOT MINE TO GRANT, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared by my Father.”

 

NOTE: Jesus did not have the authority to assign seating arrangements in Heaven.

 

 

 

Matthew 24:36 English Standard Version 36 “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, NOR THE SON, but the Father only.

NOTE: Jesus did not know the hour. He is lacking knowledge. The Holy Spirit is not even mentioned in this text. How does the angels take precedence over the Holy Spirit?

 

 

Matthew 26:39 English Standard Version 39 And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, “MY FATHER, IF IT BE POSSIBLE, LET THIS CUP PASS from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.”

 

NOTE: Jesus asking the Father to pass this cup. If He's God and co-equal why does he need permission from the Father? Unless the Father is superior to him.

 

 

 Matthew 28:18 English Standard Version 18 And Jesus came and said to them, “ALL AUTHORITY IN HEAVEN AND ON EARTH HAS BEEN GIVEN TO ME

 

NOTE: If Jesus is God, how can he give himself something that he was lacking in the first place? How can Jesus be the giver and the receiver at the same time?! See also John 5:22.

NOTE: A careful reading is showing that the Father is the one who is being blessed and using Christ to bless us in this text.

NOTE: The Father gives you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation OF him. Not Jesus.

NOTE: God is the source/origin of Christ just like Eve is the source/origin of Adam. However, if you say Adam is superior to Eve, then to be consistent, you have to say that the Father is superior to Christ.

NOTE: Jesus is a man exalted by God. Not a God-Man-the term is not even in the Bible. See also Acts 2:32, 5:30-31, and Romans 10:9 for his resurrection. See John 8:39-40, 11:50; Luke 24:19; Acts 17:31; Romans 5:15; 1 Timothy 2:5; 1 Corinthians 15:21 for Jesus as a man.

NOTE: How can God be the anointer and the anointed at the same time?

NOTE: How can God be the appointer and the appointed at the same time?

 

 

Acts 13:22-23 English Standard Version 22 And when he had removed him, he raised up David to be their king, of whom he testified and said, ‘I have found in David the son of Jesse a man after my heart, who will do all my will.’ 23 Of this MAN'S offspring GOD HAS BROUGHT TO ISRAEL A SAVIOR, Jesus, as he promised.

 

NOTE: Jesus-David's offspring is a savior. Not God himself. See Galatians 4:4. God uses singular pronouns.

 

 

Acts 17:3 English Standard Version 3 explaining and proving that it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead, and saying, “This Jesus, whom I proclaim to you, IS THE CHRIST.”

 

NOTE: Jesus is the Christ. Not God.

 

 

 

Acts 17:31 English Standard Version 31 because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by A MAN  whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead.

NOTE: Notice the singular pronouns. He, not us. If translators didn't want to confuse the Trinity with a uni-personal God, they surely did an awful job. The exalted/gloried Jesus is still a MAN. See also Acts 2:22; John 8:39-40, 11:50; Luke 24:19; Romans 5:15; 1 Timothy 2:5; 1 Corinthians 15:21.

 

 

 

Acts 22:8 English Standard Version 8 And I answered, ‘Who are you, Lord?’ And he said to me, ‘I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting.’

 

NOTE: Jesus never identifies himself as God or Yahweh.

NOTE: If Jesus was God, how can he increase in wisdom and in favor within himself? If he is lacking anything, he is not God.

NOTE: How can Jesus pray to himself?

NOTE: The Father's name is hallowed. He is superior to the Son and Spirit. No mention of the Son's name and Holy Spirit's name. Again, look at the singular pronouns. Your name, not OUR name. Your kingdom come, not OUR kingdom come.

 

 

 

 

 

1 Corinthians 8:5-6 English Standard Version 5 For although there may be so-called gods in heaven or on earth—as indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”—6 yet for us there is ONE God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and ONE Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.

 

NOTE: There is ONE GOD and ONE Lord. They are NOT the same person. The phrase "through whom are all things and through whom we exist' is an example of translator bias. It should be rendered as " through whom all the New Covenant events came to be and through Jesus, spirit-filled believers came to be (brought forth) as children of God."

 

 

 

1 Corinthians 15:21 English Standard Version 21 For as by a man came death, by  A MAN has come also the resurrection of the dead.

 

NOTE:  Christ is the Second Adam. Adam is not a supernatural entity, so why do we change it up when Jesus is his comparison? See John 8:39-40, 11:50; Luke 24:19; Acts 17:31; Acts 2:22; 1 Timothy 2:5; Romans 5:15.

 

 

1 Corinthians 15:24 English Standard Version 24 Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power.

 

NOTE:  Jesus gives God the Father the Kingdom. How can he be the giver and receiver at the same time? Doesn't that mean Jesus is a subordinate to the Father?

2 Corinthians 13:4 English Standard Version 4 For he was crucified in weakness, but LIVES BY THE POWER OF GOD. For we also are weak in him, but in dealing with you we will live with him BY THE POWER OF GOD.

 

NOTE: Jesus was successful due to the POWER OF GOD. Not any power he had. Therefore, he is not God.

 

 

Mark 13:32 English Standard Version  32 “But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but ONLY THE FATHER.

 

NOTE: Jesus is not omniscience. He is lacking knowledge. The angels are mentioned over the Holy Spirit. The Father is the ONLY revealer. If the Father can withhold knowledge from the Son and the Holy Spirit, why isn't he considered superior to them?

 

 

Mark 16:19 English Standard Version 19 So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD.

 

NOTE: The Father is God and Jesus is Lord/Christ. To sit in the right hand means someone else is sitting in the center and the left side.

 

 

 

John 1:18 English Standard Version 18 No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is AT THE FATHER'S SIDE, he has made him known.

 

NOTE: This is a mistranslation. Otherwise, this text will contradict itself. Because there are various translations on this verse, it shouldn't be used to support the Trinity. See KJV, NKJV, YLT, ASV, DRB, ERV, GWT, MSB, NHEB, WBT, WNT, and WEB. Alternatively, Jesus can be called God in a similar function as a representative. See Exodus 4:16,7:1; Psalm 82:6. Psalm 45:6-7.

 

 

John 4:23 English Standard Version 23 But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers WILL WORSHIP THE FATHER in spirit and truth, for the FATHER is seeking such people to WORSHIP HIM.

 

NOTE: The Father is seeking people for worship. No mention of Jesus or the Holy Spirit.  Only singular pronouns are used, not plural.

 

 

John 5:19-20 English Standard Version 19 So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, THE SON CAN DO NOTHING OF HIS OWN ACCORD, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise. 20 For the Father loves the Son and shows him all that he himself is doing. And greater works than these will he show him, so that you may marvel.

 

NOTE:  Jesus is subordinate to the Father. See Deuteronomy 18:15-18, John 5:30.

 

 

John 5:22 English Standard Version 22 For THE FATHER judges no one, but has given all judgment to THE SON,

 

NOTE: How can Jesus be the giver and receiver at the same time? Doesn't that mean Jesus is a subordinate to the Father? See Matthew 28:18.

 

 

John 5:26-27 English Standard Version 26 For as THE FATHER has life in himself, so HE HAS GRANTED THE SON also to have life in himself. 27 And HE HAS GIVEN HIM AUTHORITY to execute judgment, because he is the Son of Man

 

NOTE: The Father grants eternal life to the Son. How can Jesus be the giver and receiver at the same time? Doesn't that mean Jesus is a subordinate to the Father?

 

 

 

John 5:30 English Standard Version  30 “I CAN DO NOTHING ON MY OWN. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I SEEK NOT MY OWN WILL BUT THE WILL OF HIM WHO SENT ME.

 

NOTE: Jesus is subordinate to the Father. See Deuteronomy 18:15-18, John 3:34, 5:19-20.

 

 

 

John 5:36 English Standard Version 36 But the testimony that I have is greater than that of John. FOR THE WORKS THAT THE FATHER HAS GIVEN ME TO ACCOMPLISH, the very works that I am doing, BEAR WITNESS ABOUT ME THAT THE FATHER HAS SENT ME.

 

NOTE: How can Jesus be the giver and receiver at the same time? Doesn't that mean Jesus is a subordinate to the Father? If they are co-equal why do we never see the Father submit to the Son or the Spirit? Or the Father being sent by the Son or the Spirit?

  

 

John 6:38 English Standard Version 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the WILL OF HIM WHO SENT ME.

 

NOTE: This can easily be confused for a pre-existence passage. However, when we look at its usage in 1 John 4:6, John 3:31-36, 8:23, 8:47 (not born again yet), John 15:19. 17:6, 17:14

 

 

 John 6:57 English Standard Version 57 As the living Father sent me, and I LIVE BECAUSE OF THE FATHER, so whoever feeds on me, he also will live because of me.

 

NOTE: The Father gives Jesus eternal life. We never see the Father in submission to the Son. See John 5:26-27.

 

 

 

John 7:16-17 English Standard Version 16 So Jesus answered them, “My teaching is not mine, but HIS WHO SENT ME. 17 If anyone's will is to do GOD'S WILL, he will know whether the teaching is FROM GOD or whether I am speaking on my own authority.

 

NOTE: Jesus' teaching belongs to the Father. See Deuteronomy 18:15-18, John 3:34, 5:19-20. 5:30, 36.

 

 

John 7:28 English Standard Version 28 So Jesus proclaimed, as he taught in the temple, “You know me, and you know where I come from. But I have not come of my own accord. He who sent me is true, and him you do not know.

 

NOTE:  Jesus said they know him, but NOT the Father. See John 6:57

 

 

 

 

John 8:16-18 English Standard Version 16 Yet even if I do judge, my judgment is true, for it is not I alone who judge, BUT I AND THE FATHER WHO SENT ME. 17 In your Law it is written that the testimony of two people is true. 18 I am the one who bears witness About Myself, and THE FATHER WHO SENT ME BEARS WITNESS ABOUT ME.18 I am the one who bears witness about myself, and the Father who sent me bears witness about me.

 

NOTE: Jesus and the Father are considered two separate witnesses, not one.

 

 

 

John 8:28-29 English Standard Version 28 So Jesus said to them, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and that I DO NOTHING ON MY OWN AUTHORITY, but speak just as the Father taught me. 29 And he who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him.”

 

NOTE: Jesus is granted authority from the Father. " I am he." The "he" is not in the Greek. "I am" is translated as ego eimi. Other humans use it as self-identification. See John 9:8-9, 2 Samuel 2:20, Acts 26:29. It is not the complete divine name of Yahweh found in Exodus 3. Jesus is saying He is the Messiah/The Prophesied One.

 

 

John 8:42 English Standard Version 42 Jesus said to them, “IF GOD WERE YOUR FATHER, you would love me, for I came from God and I am here. I came not of my own accord, but he sent me

 

NOTE: John the Baptist came from God as well. See John 1:6. This is not an argument for Jesus' pre-existence. Jesus and God the Father are distinct from each other.

 

 

John 8:49-50 English Standard Version 49 Jesus answered, “I do not have a demon, but I HONOR MY FATHER, and you dishonor me. 50 Yet I DO NOT SEEK MY OWN GLORY; there is One who seeks it, and he is the judge.

 

NOTE: How can Jesus be the giver and receiver at the same time? Doesn't that mean Jesus is a subordinate to the Father? The Father gives Jesus His glory. See John 8:54.

 

 

John 8:54 English Standard Version 54 Jesus answered, “If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say, ‘He is our God.’

 

NOTE: Jesus does not seek his own glory. Only the Father gives him glory.  Doesn't that mean Jesus is a subordinate to the Father? See John 8:49-50.

 

 

John 10:25 English Standard Version 25 Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I DO IN MY FATHER'S NAME bear witness about me.

 

NOTE: We never see the Father bear witness to the Son's name or the Spirit's name. Only the Son bears witness to the Father's name. Doesn't that mean Jesus is a subordinate to the Father?

 

 

John 10:29 English Standard Version 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is GREATER THAN ALL, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.

 

NOTE: This is a declaration that the Father is greater than the Son. The Spirit is implied. See also John 14:28.

 

 

 

John 10:34-36 English Standard Version 34 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I said, you are gods’? 35 If he called them gods to whom the word of God came—and Scripture cannot be broken— 36 do you say of him whom the Father consecrated and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I AM THE SON OF GOD’?

 

NOTE: Jesus is calling himself the Son of God, not God the Son. For example, in Genesis 5:3, is Seth really Adam-the image of Adam? Alternatively, Jesus can be called God in a similar function as a representative. See Exodus 4:16,7:1; Psalm 82:6. Psalm 45:6-7.

 

 

 

 

 

John 11:41-42 English Standard Version 41 So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up his eyes and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. 42 I knew that you always hear me, but I said this on account of the people standing around, that they may believe that you sent me.”

 

NOTE: John the Baptist came from God as well. See John 1:6 and Galatians 4:4. This is not an argument for Jesus' pre-existence.

 

 

 

 

John 12:49-50 English Standard Version 49 For I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment—what to say and what to speak. 50 And I know that his commandment is eternal life. What I say, therefore, I say AS THE FATHER HAS TOLD ME

 

NOTE: God the Father gives Jesus authority. So can the alleged Trinity have authority and no authority at the same time? What about the Spirit? Does he have authority?

 

 

 

John 13:3 English Standard Version 3 Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come from God and was going back to God

 

NOTE: The word "back" and "return" is not in the Greek. The BLB, KJV, NKJV, ASV, ABPE, DRB, ERV, GNT, LSV, NRSV, NHEB, WBT, WNT, WEB, and YLT supports this in their translations. These translations are focusing on Christ's ascension, not a so-called pre-existence.

 

 

John 14:1 English Standard Version I Am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life  14 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; BELIEVE ALSO IN ME.

 

NOTE: Jesus and God are two separate entities, NOT ONE. No hint of plurality.
