The titles savior, King of Kings, and anointed/Messiah are not exclusive to Jesus. They are used for other men in the Bible.



***King of Kings


Ezekiel 26:7 English Standard Version For this is what the Lord GOD says: 'Behold, I will bring against Tyre from the north Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, king of kings, with horses and chariots, with cavalry and a great company of troops.



Daniel 2:37 English Standard Version You, O king, are the king of kings, to whom the God of heaven has given sovereignty, power, strength, and glory.



Ezra 7:12 English Standard Version “Artaxerxes, king of kings, to Ezra the priest, the scribe of the Law of the God of heaven. Peace. And now


***Savior

Nehemiah 9:27 English Standard Version 27 Therefore you gave them into the hand of their enemies, who made them suffer. And in the time of their suffering they cried out to you and you heard them from heaven, and according to your great mercies you gave them saviors who saved them from the hand of their enemies.


Isaiah 19:20 English Standard Version 20 It will be a sign and a witness to the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt. When they cry to the Lord because of oppressors, he will send them a savior and defender, and deliver them.

***The Anointed One/Messiah/Christ

Isaiah 45:1English Standard Version 45 Thus says the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have grasped, to subdue nations before him and to loose the belts of kings, to open doors before him that gates may not be closed:

Psalm 18:50 English Standard Version 50 Great salvation he brings to his king, and shows steadfast love to his anointed, to David and his offspring forever.


Lamentations 4:20  English Standard Version 20 The breath of our nostrils, the Lord's anointed, was captured in their pits, of whom we said, “Under his shadow we shall live among the nations.”




***The Power of God

Acts 8:10 English Standard Version 10 They all paid attention to him, from the least to the greatest, saying, “This man is the power of God that is called Great.”

***The Holy One

INTRODUCTION Picture yourself as a Jew in the exile. You lost your home, your family, and even questioning your faith in the midst of God’s promises. You are traumatized and broken by the events that have transpired. All hope seems loss. Then Ezekiel the Priest says that you will inherit a new Temple and a new land with more responsibility added to you. More responsibility that you couldn’t fulfill the first time, which is why you are exiled in the first place. And get this, it is all invisible. This would have not gone well for Ezekiel by simply telling the Jews their inheritance was invisible. However, that’s not the case. Thankfully, our God is very descriptive about the measurements and dimensions of the Temple. We have a basis to compare the old Temple and old land to these new promises. Revelation 1 Setting: 65-66AD/during the reign of Emperor Nero. V1-3: God the Father uses His Son, Jesus to reveal the last days of the Old Covenant. Jesus' angel (the Principle of agency)  shares the Father's message to John.   V4: This letter is to the seven churches in Asia Minor. Not the entire modern world.
