Earth & World has 3 different translations in the Bible
These are the identifiers from Strong’s Concordance for each word.

     In the Book of Revelation we have three different Greek Words for Earth and World. In English, you can never notice or even think twice about it. Because Earth and World tend to be interchangeable. However, looking Greek challenges this assertion. See below.


     G3625-Oikoumenē= Roman Empire/Greek Territory (3 Entries)-
Pronounced Oink-ku-may-nay

·       G1093-Gē= Nation’s Land/Farm Land/main land with fixed boundaries
(67 entries!!!!)- Pronounced Gay

·       G2889-Kosmos=World-wide/Global/Universal (3 Entries)



*** Revelation 3:10 10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world/Roman Empire, (G3625) to try them that dwell upon the earth/Israel (G1093).

NOTE: This cannot be the rapture because we know a rapture did not happened during 70AD and this is not worldwide. This protection is from “The hour of Temptation/ the Great Apostacy- It is referenced in 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12-9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, 10 and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perish. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.


***Revelation 12:9 9 And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world/Roman Empire, (G3625)—he was thrown down to the earth/Israel (G1093), and his angels were thrown down with him.

***Revelation 13:8 8 and all who dwell on earth/Israel (G1093) will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world/Kosmos(G2889)  in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain.

*** Revelation 17:8 8 The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to rise from the bottomless pit and go to destruction. And the dwellers on earth/Israel (G1093 whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world/Kosmos(G2889)  will marvel to see the beast, because it was and is not and is to come.



NOTE: This is a global/universal reference, as it should be, for the body of Christ is global/universal and the message of the gospel is for every nation, tribe, language, and tongue. The third reference is to the kingdom of God, its triumph and greatness over all the kingdoms of this world (planets), and Christ’s eternal and universal reign.


***Conclusion- Based on the above evidence, we can conclude that the Great Tribulation was a local event in Israel that was fulfilled in 67AD-70AD. There was no rapture, but God’s protection from the Great Deception of the Beast (Nero/Roman Empire).
