The Levi claimed to be a religious man just like the Pharisees and Judas. The Levi threw the Concubine into the mob to be beaten and left for dead. Similarly, Christ was thrown into an abusive and violent crowd by a loved one.

The Concubine is from Bethlehem just like Jesus

The Concubine suffered during the night hours just like Christ suffered on the cross in darkness.


The Concubine was unfaithful to her Husband. Christ was faithful and took on our spiritual unfaithfulness in order to suffer in our place.

The Levi chopped up the Concubine’s body into 12 parts and sent them out to the 12 Tribes of Israel. Christ was ripped apart metaphorically for his Church- the unworthy spouse. During communion, we remember that his Body was broken for us. Christ's death is a Message sent to his Church (every nation, tribe, people, and tongue).

Jesus is the Perfect King who will bring order out of chaos. In the Book of Judges, we see the phrase: “In those days there was no king in Israel. Everyone did what was right in his own eyes.” Because of this philosophy, there is only wickedness and chaos until the Christ the King returns and setup his Kingdom in full consummation.

Israel has become Sodom (& Gomorrah) - the unfaithful wife of God. Israel was responsible for shedding the blood of the Concubine. Israel pledged their allegiance to Cesar by declaring he was their king, not Jesus, which is Spiritual Adultery. The Concubine was victimized by a compromising, idolatrous Pagan-like Israel just like a compromising, idolatrous Old Covenant Israel victimized Christ.

The Death of the Concubine lead to the judgment, near extinction, and then resurrection of the Benjamin Tribe. The Death of Christ lead to the judgment of National Israel in 70AD. A remnant survived, which resulted in The Church-Spiritual Israel.

As long as The Concubine was safe in her Father's House, she did not experience any harm. However, when she was no longer her Father's presence, she was in danger and eventually died. Similarly, with Christ, the Father’s presence was with him throughout his ministry. When it was time to go to the cross, the Father's presence was removed from Christ in order to taste the Wrath of God for His Elect.
