The Measure of Sins

Daniel 9:27 27 And he shall make a strong covenant with many for one week, and for half of the week he shall put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing (High Peak) of abominations shall come one who makes desolate, until the decreed end is poured out on the desolator.”

NOTE: When the level of Abomination meets its threshold, the Lord will send a Destroyer to destroy the Desolator. In another blog, the word “desolate/desolation” is always been linked to Jerusalem.

Matthew 23:32 32 Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers.

NOTE: This borrows the same idea from Daniel 9. The Abominations (Killing Jesus & the Prophets and sin) of National Israel is slowly boiling to the top.

1 Thessalonians 2:14-16 14 For you, brothers, became imitators of the churches of God in Christ Jesus that are in Judea. For you suffered the same things from your own countrymen as they did from the Jews, 15 who killed both the Lord Jesus and the prophets, and drove us out, and displease God and oppose all mankind 16 by hindering us from speaking to the Gentiles that they might be saved—so as always to fill up the measure of their sins. But wrath has come upon them at last!

NOTE: Again, we see the idea of “measure of their sins” from Daniel 9:27 and Matthew 23:32

Revelation 6:11 11 Then they were each given a white robe and told to rest a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brothers should be complete, who were to be killed as they themselves had been.

NOTE: The number of martyred saints is synonymous with the “measure of their sins.” Once the limit has been reached, God’s wrath will be poured out on Jerusalem in 70AD.

Genesis 15:16 New International Version 16 In the fourth generation your descendants will come back here, for the sin of the Amorites has not yet reached its full measure.”

NOTE: Israel now identifies as a Gentile nation. Notice the similarity in the phrasing.

The Great Deception of the Old Covenant

Matthew 23:13 13,15 “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut the kingdom of heaven in people's faces. For you neither enter yourselves nor allow those who would enter to go in… 15 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel across sea and land to make a single proselyte, and when he becomes a proselyte, you make him twice as much a child of hell as yourselves.

NOTE: This is why you see “Human Souls” in Revelation 18:13!!

2 Thessalonians 2:11-12,15 11 Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, 12 in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness….15 So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the traditions that you were taught by us, either by our spoken word or by our letter.

NOTE: Paul urges believers to stand firm in the Gospel and not regress back into being enslaved by the Old Covenant.

Revelation 3:10 10 Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of temptation that is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth.

NOTE: The Lord promises to remove His Elect from being enslaved by the Old Covenant and escape the Jewish Holocaust in 70AD.

Revelation 18:4 4 Then I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you take part in her sins, lest you share in her plagues;

NOTE: The Lord calls out Christians out of National Israel in a Spiritual Exodus type manner before the Roman armies torch down Jerusalem.

Jerusalem: A Dwelling for Demons

Luke 10:18 18 And he said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.

NOTE: Christ saw the defeat of Satan as his ministry was progressing and eventually His death on the Cross.

Revelation 12:9,13 9 And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him….. 13 And when the dragon saw that he had been thrown down to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child.

NOTE: When Satan and his fallen angels got booted out of Heaven, he was furious and started to use the enemies of the Church, Apostate Israel to martyr Christians.

2 Peter 2:4 4 For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of gloomy darkness to be kept until the judgment;

Jude 6 6 And the angels who did not stay within their own position of authority, but left their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains under gloomy darkness until the judgment of the great day—

NOTE: When Christ was crucified, it is possible some of Satan’s fallen angels were thrown into the abyss. They were awaiting their destructive use for 66-70AD.

Revelation 9 9 And the fifth angel blew his trumpet, and I saw a star fallen from heaven to earth, and he was given the key to the shaft of the bottomless pit.2 He opened the shaft of the bottomless pit, and from the shaft rose smoke like the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened with the smoke from the shaft. 3 Then from the smoke came locusts on the earth, and they were given power like the power of scorpions of the earth. 4 They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any green plant or any tree, but only those people who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. 5 They were allowed to torment them for five months, but not to kill them, and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it stings someone. 6 And in those days people will seek death and will not find it. They will long to die, but death will flee from them.

NOTE: Now that he lost access to Heaven, Satan opens up the abyss and releases the demons to unto Apostate Israel. Apostate Israel was an instrument of persecution used on the early Church.

Matthew 12:43-46 43 “When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, but finds none. 44 Then it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when it comes, it finds the house empty, swept, and put in order. 45 Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and dwell there, and the last state of that person is worse than the first. So also will it be with this evil generation.”

NOTE: Jesus infers that Israel will be filled with demons and be in a worse spiritual condition than ever before due to their rebellion.

Revelation 2:9 9 “‘I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you are rich) and the slander of those who say that they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.

Revelation 2:12-13 “And to the angel of the church in Pergamum write: ‘The words of him who has the sharp two-edged sword. 13 “‘I know where you dwell, where Satan's throne is. Yet you hold fast my name, and you did not deny my faith even in the days of Antipas my faithful witness, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.

Revelation 3:9 9 Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie—behold, I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and they will learn that I have loved you.

NOTE: Apostate Israel has spiritually declared Satan as their Father (John 8:44)

Revelation 16:13-14 13 And I saw, coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs. 14 For they are demonic spirits, performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty.

Revelation 18:22 And he called out with a mighty voice, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She has become a dwelling place for demons, a haunt for every unclean spirit, a haunt for every unclean bird, a haunt for every unclean and detestable beast.

Revelation 20 20 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain. 2 And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, 3 and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be released for a little while.

Isaiah 24:21-23 21 On that day the Lord will punish the host of heaven, in heaven, and the kings of the earth, on the earth. 22 They will be gathered together as prisoners in a pit; they will be shut up in a prison, and after many days they will be punished. 23 Then the moon will be confounded and the sun ashamed, for the Lord of hosts reigns on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, and his glory will be before his elders

NOTE: At the end of 70AD, Apostate Israel was destroyed and the Temple was set on fire. Satan is now bound and will be released before Christ’s Final coming.
