Jesus and Samson
Samson Jesus is what Samson in Judges was not; w hat was lacking in Samson was found perfected in Christ. Samson fought the Lord's enemies single-handed without an army to aid him. Just like Christ, Samson stretched out his arms and died to defeat the enemies of God. Samson sacrificed himself bringing down the pillars on the enemy, leaving the temple in ruins. Jesus is the true and better Samson because he yielded his life to crush his enemies and save God's people not as an atonement for his mistakes, but for the sins of others. Samson gave his life and saved his people by destroying his enemies; Jesus gave his life and saved his people by saving his enemies and making them a part of his people.
