                                          Deuteronomy 25:11-12- Cutting off the Hand or the Thigh/Womb?  This is one of the controversial passages that skeptics use to invalidate Judeo-Christianity. In this analysis, I will show that this passage his been translated erroneously in order for us to dig deeper into scripture. In the Old Covenant, if a woman crushed the genitals of the perpetrator, and it resulted in the perpetrator not able to have children, it was basically the end of his life. That man would be declared an eunuch and would be unable to worship in the Tabernacle/Temple. He would be cut off socially. It was believed that the woman would get her hand cut off. Fortunately, there is no historical evidence of this ever happening. One of things that has made me suspicious of this passage was that it did not fit the lex talionis (law of retaliation). ...

 Zechariah 14- Verse by Verse Commentary NOTE 1: The RSV and Douay-Rheims translation were used because it fits the context of Isaiah 3-4 (specifically 3:5). The other translations seem inconsistent and cause tons of confusion to the events of 70AD. Verse 1-2- These are the events of Revelation 17. Nations=7+1 Heads and 10 Horns (Roman Emperors and Judean Provisional Governors). Jerusalem is the Whore of Babylon. Zechariah 12 focused more on the Elect from Jerusalem. Zechariah 14 focuses more on the non-elect. The Non-elect were exiled under the Roman’s authority or scattered away from the city while the Elect escaped safely. NOTE 2: The Nations consisted of Rome and Israel married (Daniel 2:43), the two becoming one. When judgment occurs on the Nations, Apostate Israel is the one destroyed. The Romans continue to rule for many years. This is why we see the Nations destroyed and surviving at the same time. Verse 3-The Lord fought their battle by having both the Romans and Jews ...
