The Phrase the War on the Saints: Daniel 2,7, and Revelation Overview This blog will attempt to make sense of the “phrase to make war on the saints” and how it is used in a figurative manner. In addition, we will examine the  Beasts in Daniel 2,7, and Revelation.  Yes, it is true that Titus did not kill any Christians between 66-70AD. Also, it is true that Nero was dead by 68-69AD, yet scripture has the persecutions occurring to the very end (70AD). This is problematic with the timing issues of Revelation. Nevertheless, I believe a figurative interpretation of this phrase helps the text flow more smoothly. Daniel 2:41-43 English Standard Version 41 And as you saw the FEET and TOES , partly of potter's CLAY and partly of iron, it shall be a divided kingdom , but some of the firmness of iron shall be in it, just as you saw iron mixed with the soft clay. 42 And as the toes of the feet were partly iron and partly clay, so the kingdom shall be partly st...

Adam the 6th Day or the 8th Day Man?

Adam the 6th Day or the 8th Day Man? The traditional view of the church is that Genesis 2 is a recapitulation of the events of Genesis 1; the reasoning is Genesis 2:4's Toledot below. Genesis 2:4-6 English Standard Version The Creation of Man and Woman 4 These are the generations of the heavens and the earth when they were created,in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens However, when examining other Toledots in Scripture (See end of post), they ALWAYS lead to a subsequent event, not a preceding event. None of them summarize the previous chapter. Therefore, when applied logically and consistently, we can see that Genesis 2:4's Toledot is about the creation of Adam, the 8th day man. The humans (men and women) in Genesis 1 we...

What is the Sin Unto Death?

What is the Sin Unto Death? 1 John 5:16-18 English Standard Version 16 If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God will give him life—to those who commit sins that do not lead to death. There is sin that leads to death; I do not say that one should pray for that. 17 All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin that does not lead to death. 18 We know that everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him. Isaiah 59:2 English Standard Version 2 but your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear NOTE: Sin results in separation. James 1:15 English Standard Version 15 Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death. NOTE: Sin results in Spiritual / Covenantal death and sometimes to Physical death. James 2:10 English Standard V...
