Revelation is a Local Event, not a World-wide Event

Revelation 3:10 10 Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world G3625, to try those who dwell on the earth G1093.



Whole World=Roman Empire (oikoumenē),    The Earth=Israel (gē)

      Matt 2:20 Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land G1093 of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child's life.

      Luke 4:25 But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land; G1093

      Acts 4:26-27 The kings of the earth G1093 stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ. 27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,

NOTE: Notice the Kings of the Earth are listed as Herod, Pilate, and the Gentiles (compare with Revelation 1:5 and 17:2). The Romans were the rulers of Israel at this time.

      Luke 2:1 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world G3625 should be taxed.

NOTE: Rome had no control over China during this time. Rome was only able to tax within their boundaries/territories, not the whole international world!!
·         
      Act 11:28 And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great famine throughout all the world: G3625 which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.

NOTE: There was no international famine in history documented during this time. This famine was within the boundaries of the Roman Empire.

Acts 17:30-31 30 The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent, 31 because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world: G3625 in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead.”

         
      Act 24:5 For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, G3625 and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:

NOTE: The Jews did not get scattered internationally until 70AD. The Jews were scattered within Asia under the jurisdiction of the Roman Empire.

Revelation 12 V1-2: We see the same imagery of Joseph’s dream here in Genesis 37:9-11. Israel (representing Jerusalem as well in Matthew 2:18) is described as the Daughter of Zion-a dying mother; specifically, Rachel who died tragically during pregnancy. See Isaiah 50:1, 54:1-6, 66:7; Jeremiah 4:31; Micah 4:9-10; Galatians 4:27; Jeremiah 31:15; Matthew 2:18. Although Jerusalem will be destroyed, the remnant will represent a glimmer of hope similar to Benjamin and Christ's respective births.
