Deuteronomy 25:11-12- Cutting off the Hand or the Thigh/Womb?

Deuteronomy 25:11-12- Cutting off the Hand or the Thigh/Womb?  This is one of the controversial passages that skeptics use to invalidate Judeo-Christianity. In this analysis, I will show that this passage his been translated erroneously in order for us to dig deeper into scripture. In the Old Covenant, if a woman crushed the genitals of the perpetrator, and it resulted in the perpetrator not able to have children, it was basically the end of his life. That man would be declared an eunuch and would be unable to worship in the Tabernacle/Temple. He would be cut off socially. It was believed that the woman would get her hand cut off. Fortunately, there is no historical evidence of this ever happening. One of things that has made me suspicious of this passage was that it did not fit the lex talionis (law of retaliation). ...

Zechariah 14- Verse by Verse Commentary

Image
Zechariah 14- Verse by Verse Commentary NOTE 1: The RSV and Douay-Rheims translation were used because it fits the context of Isaiah 3-4 (specifically 3:5). The other translations seem inconsistent and cause tons of confusion to the events of 70AD. Verse 1-2- These are the events of Revelation 17. Nations=7+1 Heads and 10 Horns (Roman Emperors and Judean Provisional Governors). Jerusalem is the Whore of Babylon. Zechariah 12 focused more on the Elect from Jerusalem. Zechariah 14 focuses more on the non-elect. The Non-elect were exiled under the Roman’s authority or scattered away from the city while the Elect escaped safely. NOTE 2: The Nations consisted of Rome and Israel married (Daniel 2:43), the two becoming one. When judgment occurs on the Nations, Apostate Israel is the one destroyed. The Romans continue to rule for many years. This is why we see the Nations destroyed and surviving at the same time. Verse 3-The Lord fought their battle by having both the Romans and Jews ...

Ascension of the Saints 70AD Theory

Ascension of the Saints 70AD Theory ***Hebrews 9:8 English Standard Version 8 By this the Holy Spirit indicates that the way into the holy places is not yet opened as long as the first section is still standing NOTE: This has to be about Heaven. What else can it be? The physical 2 nd Temple had to be destroyed in order for the dead saints to enter Heaven.     ***Ezekiel 40:5 English Standard Version 5 And behold, there was a wall all around the outside of the temple area , and the length of the measuring reed in the man's hand was six long cubits, each being a cubit and a handbreadth in length. So he measured the thickness of the wall, one reed; and the height, one reed. NOTE: This wall was remove...

2 Corinthians 5:1-10 and 1 Corinthians 15:50-56 Verse by Verse Commentary on the New Covenant Body for 70AD

2 Corinthians 5:1-10 5 For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed , we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling, 3 if indeed by putting it on we may not be found naked . 4 For while we are still in this tent, we groan, being burdened—not that we would be unclothed, but that we would be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. 5 He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee. 6 So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, 7 for we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. 9 So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive ...

Zechariah 12:1-9 Verse by Verse Commentary

Zechariah 12:1-9-RSV or Douay Rheims NOTE: The RSV and Douay-Rheims translation were used because it fits the context of Isaiah 3-4 (specifically 3:5). The other translations seem inconsistent and cause tons of confusion to the events of 70AD. Verse 1=Israel (Northern Kingdom) does not exist at this point. This is a symbolic description of Spiritual Israel-Christians. No Northern Tribes are mentioned because the Church is Idol-less now. Remember ALL the Northern Kings were wicked. Verse 2-3= The first mention of Jerusalem is the Church. The second mention is the City of Jerusalem under siege in 70 AD.   God will protect His Church from the Nations that will try to attack it. When they attack the Church, they mark themselves for judgment. See Revelation 11:5-6, 17:14, 19:11-21. The Beast and the Ten Jewish Governors made war on the Lamb by fighting against God’s Will, not honoring Christ’s New Covenant, persecuting/killing the Elect, keeping the Old Covenant or mixing it ...

The Glorified Body for 70AD-An Examination of Zechariah 12:8 and 1 Corinthians 15:5-58

What does it mean to have the Spiritual/glorified body of Christ 1.       The living saints are conformed to the image of Christ progressively in status while the dead saints are conformed completely in Heaven. 2.       We are able to perform works of righteousness and bear fruit in the Spiritual Body of Christ 3.       We are no longer condemned by the works of the Law. We are no longer in the Body of Adam. 4.       We have a close, accessible relationship to the Lord.(Face to Face-favorable status) 5.       We are adopted as God’s legal children. 6.       We are not helpless slaves to sin. 7.       We have the rewards outlined in Revelation. 8.       Dead saints go straight to Heaven with their glorified body, not Sheol. 9.       We never ...
